We still use the name Serama Camp & Events but we are slowly re-branding our camp to Sparks Wood Adventure Park, therefore Serama Camp & Events and Sparks Wood Adventure Park is the same company.

Malaysia Tree Climbers Gathering (MTCG) is an event initiated by AWAN Adventure in late 2013. Then, together with Tree Climbers Malaysia (TCM) and Pejabat Perhutanan Negeri Sembilan as collaborator, the objective was to gather and establish tree-climbers and tree-workers’ community, in Malaysia. Thus, 1st MTCG was held in September 2014. The event went successfully and this event has been made biennial.
The event focused not only on tree-climbing session and activities, but also designed to cover knowledge sharing, class sessions by experienced climbers, network enhancement and latest stuff demonstration. It’s revised a new techniques, improvised system, which commonly used in tree-work, updated and standardized globally. Experts, including of those mentioned areas were also attended as speakers.
Tree-climbing is a recreational or functional activity consisting of ascending and moving around in the crown of trees. A rope, helmet, and harness used to ensure the safety of the climber. Other equipment can also be used depending on the experience and skill of the tree climber. Many different techniques (free climbing, self-belayed climbing with a doubled-rope technique, single-rope technique, and lead climbing) are used to climb trees depending on the climber's individual style, purpose, and preferences.
Some tree-climbers employ a mixture of techniques and gear derived from rock climbing and caving. These techniques are also used to climb trees for other purposes: tree care (arborists), animal rescue, research, and activism.
The upcoming 2nd MTCG in 2016 will be the continuation of the first event. It was proposed to be held from 15 to 18 September 2016.
ADDITIONAL INFO
Our accomodation during event provided by Sparks Wood Adventure Park. its a Cabin Dormitory attached with toilet, air-conditioned, double decker bed with mattress, pillow and blanket.
Participants are encourage to bring your own tree climbing gears.
Sparks Wood Adventure Park will provide a few activities to all participants during 2nd Malaysia Tree Climbers Gathering 2016 such as Orang Utan Walk (High Rope Obstacles), Flying Fox/Zipline, Pony Ride, Boat Ride, Tarzan Swing, Archery and Wall Climbing.
EVENT FEE
Fee will be inclusive of event fee, insurance, transfer from KL-Melaka-KL, meals, accommodation, goodies, side activities and Certificate of Participation.
Fee Structure:
Early Bird : MYR 685.00 per-person, paid in full latest by 15 August 2016
Late Bird : MYR 785.00 per-person, paid in full between 16 August 2016 until 2 weeks from the date of event,
Last Call : MYR 885.00 per-person, paid in full within two (2) weeks before, or during event registration.
